Moving our daughter to From the Roots ELC has been the best decision we've made in a long time. Our previous daycare experience was with a large center. We quickly learned that, while we were pleased with the 5 years of care given to our son, times had changed and it was not the right place for our daughter. We were apprehensive about going to another center but the second we walked into From the Roots our thoughts changed drastically.
Though it's technically a center, FTR has the feel of an in-home program. The setting is intimate and feels more like home than a school. The staff are all very inviting and warm, as well as professional. The questions they asked about our daughter and our family told us that they were interested in getting to know us personally instead of just seeing us as "customers". My daughter has developed a special relationship with the staff; they truly love and care for her as if she was their own.
We've also been very impressed with the way they incorporate education in a way that feels like home too. Family members are encouraged to come in and assist with projects and lessons when possible. They had a fire fighter dad and an EMT grandpa come in to talk with the kids about fire prevention and safety. Just yesterday a couple of the grandma's came in to bake cupcakes, color and read with the kids. We couldn't be more pleased with our decision to make From the Roots ELC a part of our family!

"I knew that finally "E" had the right caregivers while everyone had to work."
I love the owner and the staff at From the Roots. My granddaughter has been a little sprout at From the Roots even while the building was being prepared. I first met the owner as I came to pick up "E" and was invited in. "E" looked at me and showed me the toys she was playing with, sat on the owner's lap, and motioned me to come sit next to them on the floor. We chatted for a bit, and "E" happily played. I knew that finally "E" had the right caregivers while everyone had to work.
The words that describe the feeling I get when I think of "E" being at From the Roots are: Comfortable, Trust, Safe, Clean, Loving, Fun and I know I am welcome at anytime. I am a protective Grandma who will accept only the best for my little loves.
