Infants
We are committed to making this first transition away from home easy and natural for you and your child as your child takes their first steps towards a bright future. We feel it is important for infants to discover in a clean, safe, healthy, and developmentally appropriate learning environment. Our Infant Program helps your infants grow, gain mobility, and develop intellectual and social skills for a lifetime of success. Infants are presented with educational activities that boost the brain, encourage first words, build strong bodies, and help make new friends.
We use singing, reading, and talking which are just some of the behaviors that support development during this critical stage. Play time is scheduled every day to help children learn and grow physically. Infants in our care will nap and rest as needed. Music is played in the room to enhance audio stimulation. Our Green Room is designed to help your infant grow and learn every day by exploring and making new discoveries. Parents will receive a daily communication sheet from their infant’s teacher stating what the child did each day.
Toddlers
Look out world, here comes your toddler! Here at From The Roots, we believe that young children learn best through hands-on experiences. At this stage in their development, they are exercising their freedom of choice and learning new ways to express themselves. Our Toddlers are bursting with energy and are full of excitement! Your child is taking steps, making friends, exploring the world, and developing quickly. We want to be there every step of the way to guide them and encourage them to develop their unique skills and interests. Our center's balanced approach in the classroom engages young minds with a blend of music, art, and movement, as well as the early education fundamentals they'll need as they continue on to preschool. Each day is filled with fun activities that excite and develop toddlers, giving them the comfort and confidence to speak those first few important words, as well as make their first friends.
Preschool Program
A whole new world is waiting to be discovered in Preschool. Children improve their coordination; fine motor skills, socialization skills, and cognitive skills. Preschoolers begin to focus on more defined skills through independent exploration, structured activities, and hands-on learning. Children work on early literacy, math, science, and social studies concepts with additional structured activities such as a longer more defined circle time, music, art, and language centers. A healthy dose of running, jumping, and dancing keeps them active, too.
Children learn to interact and play together while using their manners and learning about respect. As preschoolers gain more self-esteem, they may feel ready to take on the world. Whether they are identifying shapes and colors or learning to write their names, our program offers your child the opportunity to make new friends and actively prepares them to enter Kindergarten.
After School and Summer Program
As children get older and more independent, they need new challenges. From The Roots offers a program for school-age children that provides a unique before and after school learning experience to keep your school-ager motivated and focused in a fun and stimulating environment.
Most school-age children seek to develop a sense of self, a sense of who they are, what they can do, and how they are perceived by others. Our program takes into account the differing needs of school-age children ranging in age from 5 to 12 years old to ensure they successfully find their place in a progressively complex world.
Our school-age program also aligns with school calendars to provide fun and learning during holidays, teacher in-service days, and other school breaks. We are even here for that summer break that everyone loves! Our summer school-age program is a fun program with field trips 2-3 times a week. Information for the summer program is available in May. Children spend time with friends and enjoy activities that are relevant to school-age interests. We help children think, feel, and experience new challenges.
4K - EC4T - Eau Claire 4 Tomorrow
Eau Claire 4 Tomorrow (EC4T) is part of the district's PreK-12 programming. We are proud to partner as a community site to provide the districts four-year-old kindergarten program. The Eau Claire Area School District Early Learning Program promotes a balanced approach to preschool that combines academic learning, and social emotional development in a play-based experience. Our goal is to make sure that you and your child have a valuable and enjoyable experience in our program.
