Our goal is to provide high-quality care for children while promoting the social, emotional, intellectual, and physical development of each child. We strive to create an environment that values tolerance and acceptance, providing equal opportunity for each child to reach his or her full potential. Each child will be treated as an individual with unique needs, which will be met on a daily basis, and each family will be treated with respect and courtesy by our professional child development team. All staff is educated in the field of early childhood development and will meet the state regulations at all times to ensure each child has a safe environment. Each family will be respected for their family’s values and are welcome to participate in the child’s care.

Our family had just moved to Eau Claire. We were excited and ready to dig into our new adventure! I was able to find a teaching position, however, I was not satisfied with my child care options for my two young children. I wanted a center that provided us with a loving, fabulous staff that was both professional and nurturing. I needed a clean, safe, and fun environment for my children. While our options were endless, I was feeling as though no one was willing to take our family in as “one of their own”. I wasn’t willing to allow my family to be “just another number and income” into a child care center. I wanted a place that exceeded my expectations and made me feel at home. With that broken feeling inside of me, I couldn’t just settle on a child care center, I needed to find happiness in knowing my family would be well cared for. With the support of my husband, I decided to stay home with our children and provide care to family and friends who were in need. With an overwhelming response from people needing care, I decided that I must do more! I needed to provide what I believed in, to more than just a few families, I needed my own place for others to call “home”. Prior to moving to Eau Claire, I had worked in a Christian Preschool for eight years and then had my own in-home child care for 3 years after that. With the knowledge I had learned in college and experience with various families throughout the years I developed a drive for more.
In January of 2013, I found the perfect building to start my new adventure. With the help and support of my friends and family, I began preparing the building for success. It took many months of hard work and perseverance. Once the building was almost complete I needed the perfect name for our center. I needed a name that represented how I felt about our family and how I wanted others to feel about our center. My husband and I asked ourselves many questions and the one that really stuck out was “who made us the people we are today”? Our parents, our teachers, our families, the way we were brought up, and the things we were taught along the way all played a huge part in the person we are today. Our ROOTS in life is what made us who we are!! It was so fitting, "from their roots" is where children become who they are later in life. That is exactly what we are here for, to help children grow and learn from the ground up! On May 13, 2013, my husband and I opened the doors to From The Roots Early Learning Center, LLC. We have been going strong ever since! We have every intention of making your family feel “at home” in a clean, secure, loving, and friendly atmosphere. (Vanessa Rassbach, Owner)
